"As the only teenager in Shelby County, Alabama, with blue hair, I was everybody's go-to girl for bad behavior."
From a juvenile act of the blue-haired hot mess Meg on the town's railroad bridge, she would not realize how her actions could lose her anticipated spring break vocation to Miami, as she too would not expect how one week cruising with Officer After as a punishment, could be less of a punishment, but an unexpected self-identity exploration.
John After is young good cop, plans to spend the rest of his lives dedicated to serve and protect his town but that is until Meg troubled him. Eager to teach the Cyan-Indigo-Violet hair girl a lesson, John too would not expect that even though she is unable to be restrained nor told, she could give John a lesson of his life.
Personally, let's give credits to Jennifer Echols for her witty lines in between the storyline. The supposedly serious and sad story could be more entertaining and enjoyable thanks to her. As to the characters were well-built as ever especially Meg, After, Tiffany and Will's characters. In my opinion, the twists of the story were totally unexpected! Seriously, i didn't see it coming at all. That means the chronology was set out cunningly too. I totally recommend this book for those who enjoy a fast book but of course, a witty, loveable, and a slight dish of a naughty side of a fresh-graduate-high-school-soon-to-be-college life.
